FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: What is Match On! by Sportuist?
A: Match On! is a year-round, multi-sport program for children ages 8–14. Our mission is to provide a fun, structured, and safe environment where every child—both boys and girls—can fall in love with sports. We use a scientifically backed approach to build not just skills, but lifelong healthy habits.
Q: What makes Match On! different from other sports programs?
A: We focus on "play-to-progress," not "train-to-perform." This means every child gets consistent playtime and a chance to shine, regardless of skill level. Our curriculum combines cricket with other sports like football, Kho Kho, and athletics, ensuring holistic development. We’re a community, not just a coaching center.
Q: Are girls welcome to join Match On!?
A: Absolutely! We are an inclusive program designed for both boys and girls. Our focus is on teamwork and individual growth for all children. We also have dedicated female coaches to ensure a comfortable and supportive environment.
Q: What is the Long-Term Athletic Development (LTAD) program?
A: LTAD is a structured, science-based approach to youth fitness. Led by our certified strength & conditioning coach, the program focuses on age-appropriate training to improve movement, strength, and endurance. It’s designed to help your child grow into a healthy, strong, and confident individual while preventing injuries.
League & Events
Q: What is the Match On League?
A: The Match On League is the heart of our program—a structured, fun-filled competition where kids are divided into teams and play against each other over a quarterly season. It’s designed to teach teamwork, leadership, sportsmanship, and handling both wins and losses gracefully.
Q: How is the league structured?
A: Each quarter, children are grouped into balanced teams based on age and skill. Every team plays multiple matches, and points are awarded for wins, fair play, and skill-based challenges. At the end of the quarter, we have Finals Day, where champions are crowned and special awards are given (Best Player, Spirit of the League, Most Improved).
Q: What is the Match On Mela?
A: At the end of each league quarter, we celebrate with a Match On Mela—a family sports carnival with exhibition matches, fun games for parents, music, and food stalls. It’s not just a sports day—it’s a community festival.
Q: Does every child get to play in the league matches?
A: Yes! Our format ensures equal playtime for all players, so no child is left out. We believe participation and experience are more important than just winning.
Q: Are scores and stats tracked?
A: Yes, we maintain fun, easy-to-follow scoreboards and basic player stats. This helps children see their progress over the season while keeping the competition friendly.
